We take our modern life for granted. It is interesting to see how we cope when they are gone. No electricity. – maybe one can use a solar panel for small things IF there is sun. No running water. Maybe a stream nearby but you better boil the water. And bathrooms. Well your lucky with a hole in the ground. 
In one overnight I found that one of the cubicles they call a bathroom actually had a crude seat fashioned. I thought I had discovered gold! So here is the other thing about losing creature comforts. They feel really great when they come back. I will never take a toilet for granted again. Here is the portable potty that Deb and Vic’s support group brought. I would suggest this for anyone who does this climb. Otherwise, live with the stinking hole.
