Just found out that the storm that his us was a cylone with a name. would you believe that, the storm was big enough to have a name!  Here is part of the quote from a NASA website: Tropical cyclone Bingiza hit Madagascar on February 14, 2011 as a powerful category three tropical cyclone causing flooding, at least 6 deaths and the destruction of many homes. http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/hurricanes/archives/2011/h2011_Bingiza.html.   Now it was less powerful when it hit the mainland and Tanzania’s north country, but it was still a zinger.  Amazing.  Have not found anything specific to this and the snowfall on Kilimanjaro, but I am sure there is.  Meryl (my wife) thinks I am obsessing over this storm. Maybe I am since I found this information out while sitting on the can using my iPad.  Funny.
